Reading photos

Does anyone (like me) spend time trying to read photos? What I mean by that is trying to figure out a particular persons body shape from the usually obtuse angles from which they are taken. Many people will try to hide the parts of themselves that they do not like and as a result you tend to see some wonderfully abstract images that need to be worked and and deciphered.

Our pictures are 100 how we look like but yes do try to think what the person behind the picture is like xx

I guess noones going to make an effort to post an unflattering picture?

I take it on face value. Many a time the reality is always better than the picture.

I don’t think everyone is trying to hide themselves per se but sometimes doing selfies and trying to present something different - and I always reckon any pic is better than none at all

I don't read pictures as such, but the ones that show a bit of personality shine through in my opinion

I only show flattering photos. Theres a few in my friends only that show my jelly belly. I only used to meet in clubs anyway, so people could see my shape in 3D. When I have met away from clubs it's for a social and they can see me there too x

.....no......

There is a ton of literature on this for use in studio, look it up it's super interesting from a professional standpoint

Yeah sometimes depends if I'm interested by what I can see. Like to think my photos are what I'm like - flattering or unflattering.

Can’t say that do.

Suppose naively I just accept them at face value.

I sometimes forget that people have body insecurities.

My photos are equal parts warning and shop window. Some are super-flattering, some are more warts and all. I do also meet for a social first, so by the time clothes are being shed I'd like to think my prospective flame is in no doubt what I look like.

I'd hate to meet someone for that social and be told my pics oversell me.

Although I was expecting about photos of people reading. Preferably women in glasses wearing a jumper and long socks, curled up in a wicker chair.

no I spend my time working out if it really is them in the picture/ why they took a picture on a toilet or with all of their clothes on the floor in the background.

Yeah, but I don’t spend long doing it.

I like to do it because its often those small imperfections that garner a sense of realism, and for me that adds a lot of value in terms of turn on.

Lol yeah seen a few of thoughs around, amazing pic but the background is quite funny.

Think people forget that others will look at the pic too.

I can't complain, I'm sure I have some pic like that.

Of course I generally post flattering shots, who doesn't. But I also have one, unposed, in bad lighting that's not so flattering but is a very accurate representation of my body as it us most of the time. That way, anyone I'm interested in can see both sides of me.

A lot of people have to take selfies and the angles they take photos at can give very strange results. There are plenty of free camera apps that offer a time delay so you can get better poses

Exactly lol. If you go beyond the prurient you can learn a little more about a person.

I have to admit, a pet annoyance of mine was seeing pics of people with dirty soles or dirty fingernails.

I have to admit a lot of the time I tend to have a good look in the background to see if it gives anything away about the said person
