FLR (female led relationship)

Is FLR (female led relationship) much of a thing in real life? Are there couples on here who practice it? I don't think I've seen it mentioned in the forum.

Unless it's her idea, it's not an FLR. IMO.

There's logic to that.

Often starts as a Male fantasy, therefore not female lead at all.

I'm just curious if there are people on here who do it.

Given the silence, I guess there aren't many.

What does it entail?

"What does it entail? "

It's a relationship where the lady is in charge. Beyond that, I get the impression things can vary a lot.

In some FLRs, it seems to be just a vanilla relationship where the lady is the more assertive partner.

In others, the lady may cage the cock of the man, deny him orgasms. She might peg him or cuckold him. Or do all sorts of kinky things where she is the one in charge.

If it's sexual or not, the key seems to be it's all about her desires coming first. From what I've read.

Like a lot of terms used to describe sex and relationships, it makes me uncomfortable

But if a relationship naturally evolves into a dynamic at the less extreme end of this spectrum, then I think it can be a lovely thing

Why does the term make you uncomfortable? It's not offensive as far as I know. Is it because terms maybe simplify or distort things in your view?

I guess the connotation that the woman is somehow in charge rather than it being a mutually agreeable and rewarding relationship

I got the impression it was specifically about the woman being in charge in any ways she wishes. In a relationship, it makes sense the situation would be there to benefit both partners, though.

Have you tried such relationships before? If so, can you say anything about them?

La la land

Sorry but I may be a bit naive as I've not heard of this kind of dynamic before. But how does it differ from a D/s relationship?

I'm no expert in this. Some people on here likely are. Hopefully one of them might pop up and share what they know.

"Sorry but I may be a bit naive as I've not heard of this kind of dynamic before. But how does it differ from a D/s relationship? "

D/S relationships (despite what some people say) do not come in one size fits all.

There are different types, the more common ones are DaddyDomLlittle girl, Alpha dom/me and obedient submissive (or even bratty submissive).

Female Led Relationships takes the Domme situation and makes it work in a domestic relationship (this does not mean being pegged at the drop of a hat) it involves protocols and agreed behaviours public and private.

In the opposite gender it can be described as 1950's Housewife or Surrendered Wife.

Broadly speaking in FLR the woman makes the decisions about the running of the household, the relationship and sex life. So it is just another form of D/S and like all kink it is has to be consensual, there needs to be trust, and it needs to performed without abuse.

There are a load of articles and stories online about it.

As our name suggests, this is something we have an interest in. We’ve played around with it for some time now, at times more than others. Don’t profess to be any kind of expert on FLR’s but know it works for a lot of couples. Our relationship is just that, a relationship, but with an FLR aspect within it.

When a woman takes control of all aspects of a relationship.

My previous wife was totally in control and it was FLR. Not just a sex or SM thing. She controlled money, what we did, where we went everything. I made it my task to satisfy her everyday. She would regularly just tell me no to even the most simple things, denial was a big part for me. As for the swinging it just meant she chose if I was part of her sexual life or not.
