Obstinate Pigeons!!

Theres a thread title I bet you thought youd never see .

Was biking to work this morning and a pigeon was in the road .

Naturally I assumed it would shuffle out of the way when seeing me .

Did it Fuck .

It just stared at me as if to say " swerve round me you twat " . So I had to brake to a full stop as swerving would have caused a 657 car spike up and multiple fatalities.

After stopping it just bobbed its fucking head , looked at me and flew off .

Stubborn Feathery Fuck !!

They come in my garden and come up to my patio door as if to say feed me, my cat usually shows them the way out

They don't have the biggest brains, and this 1 sounds thicker than most, it was probably thinking "can't he see I'm walking here, swerve round me!".... or it has a grudge against all mankind and is trying to take us all out but making it look like accidents.

I don,t have any veg crops like brassica,s growing as I know wood pigeons love them, but their roosting habits are something to behold especially below on the ground luckily I had to remove some branches where one roosted at night this has altered things at present and now they,ve decided to nest in the same tree being a bird watcher I,m tolerant to a degree with them and can see the good things and the bad things in such species but their numbers have grown in recent years beyond reasonable limits to where they have spilled more into surburbia from the countryside pushing birds like the collarded dove aside and here especially where I live similar can be said about magpies and crows but thats another story.

Ha, I think different animals can be like that. Snowy the Rabbit had a free run of the back garden. Whenever my Son had mates around to kick a ball about, Snowy would routinely plonk himself down in the middle of the ‘pitch’ and wouldn’t move until they’d all gone. And don’t get me started on Tilly the Cocker and the settee!
