Manchester

Who hit the pubs then and what did you think was it working with all the new rules or was it just madness?

Guildford

I stayed away, far too soon for hitting the pubs.

Going by what Skynews were showing last night though in the streets of London. It just confirms how idiotic, disrespectful and senseless people there are out there.

Think it depends where you live in the UK.

Judging by the feedback of some of these threads so far.

I'll drink at home and put some music on - might visit a bar/restaurant in two weeks.

One of my locals has decided not to open until Monday and another I know was saying it was only open for food bookings only and I did see one pub that closed it's car park and filled it with table 2mtrs apart but didn't look like it was working much as it did look a bit too busy to manage well.

In Scotland so no Pubs open for going out boozing, for those going out and not being sensible and not listening to government advice, enjoy your stay in hospital

Applause. Exactly this, but worse in a way. It's one thing to be an idiot and break the distancing rules etc, but it's totally another bragging and posting pics of yourself doing so on social media, like wtf? I really, really despise this incredibly substandard yet accepted norm of bigging up idiotic behaviour and not being called out for it

Went for dinner yesterday. Everything seemed pretty well organised. A lot less tables than usual, servers/waiting staff all masks up, trays bought to table...you have to pass out food. Was good to get out

It’s like people have never seen a pub before!! What’s the point? The whole country can see a second spike coming in England because of a group of morons, the pubs will be open next week, month, year..... plenty of time to go to them. If it’s busy walk away and go home!

Even worse when the idiotic notion of "pubs open must get pissed" causes the fatality of a 19 year old.
