Darned if I know.

We've been to some exhibitions and come away like wondering how the hell the "artist" gets away with it but other people seem to know what its all about. We've been to others and really got it or come away saying "well, that made us think".

Anything can be art when looked at through the right eyes.

Art is the interpretation of a piece of work, not just the aesthetics

Art is an outward expression of the interior world of individuals. A way of communicating what I think, feel, desire, intuit and experience in a way that has meaning for me. An expression of the Self.

Time.

All pieces of art become more intriguing given a few years on the clock.

I bet the ancient Egyptians etc never thought their tomb decorations would be seen as art. To them it was just a way of telling their story.

There is no line. Over time what is and isn't art has changed and at the moment there is no line.

Everything and nothing can be and is art depending on your point of view. To you something may be art but to another it isn't and vice versa.

It's subjective. If people are creative, then their creations could reasonably be artistic expression. Look for the styles and artists that you appreciate, potentially diversifying and exploring new things too. Understand and appreciating an artists perspective can be very enlightening. I can listen to many of them for ages.

It's great to do our own art too. Be free of negative criticsm. It's a wonderful way to express ourselves.

Everything is art. Whether it's good art is down to the person viewing it.
