Do we have any amongst us?

*There is no crisis or issue needing immediate advice*

I don’t know where to look or what the going rate is and just wondered if there were any on here as it’s as good a place as any I suppose

Not officially, but I have been told I am a very good listener and should go into that profession.

Oh geez, now that I've looked at your pics, I will have to be very professional when I lay you on my couch and not get distracted.

Newcastle

It’s probably easiest to google for therapists in your particular area. They mostly have different specialisms so it depends on what you’re looking for. Price varies depending on what service/experience they offer and whereabouts in the country they are. A general all-round therapist in the Leeds area currently starts at around £50 per session (45-50 minutes).

On a serious note tho, I suffer with mental health problems, so I am able to fully understand if that's whats needed. I know how hard it is to live with the ongoing struggle and others not understanding.

Thanks folks...x

It’s pretty specific what I’m wanting to discuss

C-PTSD/Trauma Bonding so I think there may be specific interventions x

That’s not to say won’t nip your heads over other stuff, joys of being a shit sleeper/over thinker.

Just googled it OP, there looks to be at least three counselling centres in Glasgow.

My experience was I self referred myself to the same company my GP referred me to a couple of years ago before who I never heard back from (long story) but due to my situation they couldn't help so I was given the number for Victim Support. I think within a fortnight of contacting VS I had my counselling assessment. Ten sessions for free but I know they also charged for sessions after that.

So essentially you can get referred by your GP or refer yourself in my experience.

Wahey, I know all about the shit sleeping bit. Trauma bonding is something I've experienced although didn't realise it at the time. Anyway, I'm all ears if you wish to chat xx

I don’t actually stay in Glasgow, picked nearest city as I’m from a wee town.

The waiting list is 6-9months through GP and that was before COVID-19 x

Was just asking on here on the off chance x

Also, I should mention I am currently going through ptsd, although possibly the tail end as shit hit the fan massively last year. So I'm in a good position to understand
