Would it be allowed? It’s like meeting friends in the pub. So as long as the 2 meter rules are kept to could be possible.

Why wouldn't it..as long as you don't make a lunge for each other it's fine

Outdoors social is safer as long as the weather is kind.

Still a bit sceptical as safety first for all.

I've done it. Just stay in cars and chat and drink coffee

Common sense

It's allowed. I talked about organising an outside group one but you just can't trust the UK weather

I'm thinking this is the way forward for now.

We thought about this for later in the year when the situation is clearer as my understanding is your still not allowed a group of more than 6 people from different households.

It is here. Allowing 30 people in at a time, taking names addresses and tel numbers. Only allowing people from the same households sit together.

I’ve had a number of distanced Fab Socials. Worked well. It also kept me sane. Lol.

It's confusing isn't it as you can have a pub full social distancing. Not sure if the 6 is not social distancing as that seems to be 2 households sat at a table in a pub together

I know that's why we thought we would probably leave it for a while.

But keep us updated of anything you may arrange. X

Will do, me, SB and GNG are still hoping for a pre Christmas social in Nov in Manchester all being well but would be great if we could have a lounge get together before then

Did outdoor distanced socials become a thing?

Or does that fall into the reckless category ?

Asking for a friend

I went for a walk a few weeks back. It was frustrating not being able to touch or to kiss goodbye at the end of it, but it was enjoyable - at least it was some sort of human contact!

Sadly now with half the country being tier 4 I'm guessing even that minimal socialising will be on hold for a while.
