Watching it from the very beginning..love it..reminds me of the two neighbouring estates when I was growing up in Bradford and the families that I knew....no windows in the houses..just metal grills and boards..and you never parked a decent car there as they d be gone or dismantled in short time

Watched it all again a few weeks ago.

Must’ve been through it 10+ times now.

That first episode is fucking brilliant.

Still my favourite sentence ever...

Pint’a lager and two E’s please Karen

Reminds me of some of my childhood too visiting / living with grandparents in Bradford.... never tell a kid don’t go there, because this one always wanted to know why

I'm on series 2 at the moment, love it. I was seeing a girl years back who lived in a similar estate, the local pub was a carbon copy of the shameless pub, good times

I saw it promoted on channel 4 last week and thought it would be good to do this. I've only seen bits of it from later on. Your posts have sold it in me. Thanks

For some reason wss only thinking of shameless the other day

One particular actress.

She was the mother of the girl who one of the Gallagher sons was helping with extra tuition..scene with her going under the table to perform oral sex.

Now the mother (blonde) if correct starts dating Frank.. dont they get into swinging..

Ok actors often do research etc for rolls..what I seem to remember which got me thinking about it she seemed to know more about her role as a swinger than one just portraying playing s swinger.

Remember now what triggered the the the thought..

Looked at someone's profile pics where a face pic was shown and thought she looked liked an actress from shameless...

Another vote for the US version here.....they could have messed it up badly, but absolutely didn’t.

Plus Emmy Rossum is hot

There and to the left a bit

Loved it when it was on and have the first 5 or 6 series on DVD - lost it a little when the Maguires took over from the Gallaghers as the main family but stuck with it to the end.

Frank was such a brilliantly written and observed character, but then so were most of them, and it's no surprise that a number of them have gone onto bigger and better things most notably James McAvoy and Anne-Marie Duff.

Must give it another watch and become a Chatsworth Buccaneer once more

Yes that's her..

Has a certain appeal..maybe the convent school upbringing..

Seem to recall her in a tv play or short series where she romps on the sofa..but that could have been something else...

One does wonder if playing the part of nymphomaniac was acting or did it come naturally..

Love it! Remember when they used to film on the real estate and take over The Wellington which was used as The Jockey. They didn't really need to cast many people as it was like for like haha. I may have to watch them again myself!
