Why does lingerie for larger ladies, ladies with big heaving bosoms, ladies with belly overhang of food joy, ladies with buttocks that dance to their own beat when thrusted from behind, always fail to be sturdy enough fabric to not feel you’re going to rip it first wear, always fail to have a strap that works well as they’re either so thin it cuts like wire or so chunky it feels like a scaffolding experiment, always fail to have enough length in the body to accommodate your fleshy, fabulous folds of fat?

Pfffft.

You mean there’s a gap in the market, maybe I can get on Dragons Den again after they rejected my see through toaster idea ?!

I have a few Figleaves items but they’re not consistently up to par. For my shape, I guess.

I see some beautiful, beautiful larger ladies in fantastic items (there’s a lady who escorts on a well known site who I’m obsessed with for her lingerie and her size) but lord knows where they get them from, I’ve even imported from US to try some items!!

Do it! You can be working on healthy stuff, and seeking to lose a few curves and swerves but hell you have to love every single part of yourself right now - life’s too short and it all makes up you and you are a wonderful, sexy, beast of primal horny orgasm and love and quite simply amazagorge.

When I was at uni I interned for Eveden (now taken over by Wacoal) who own most of the major plus fit lingerie brands in the UK and I sat with each of their design teams for a while. From what I could see, the Elomi brand really put hell of a lot of thought in to catering to the fuller figure rather than simply making their designs in a bigger size. As I'm only mildly curvy myself, I can't really comment on how successful they are in achieving this but I was impressed with the thought they put into it.

So with you on the op, half the problem is, is that they just size up their normal range so it just doesn't fit right. Or they use materials that can't withstand the gravity of my boobs. Curvy Kate are ok though I've had some fails and elomi have some nice bits too.

That’s really useful, thank you. I shall investigate Elomi further, and I may just write to some brands and ask some questions/make some suggestions. Act, don’t moan.

Yes. It’s sometimes even more frustrating when you find a brand and a product that fits and then they discontinue it and the new products don’t fit - it’s the inconsistency with brand that gets me too.

Elomi tend to have the same bras each season just the pattern or the colour changes. They are the most consistent manufacturer although my size does vary between the styles. But once I cracked the sizes I can buy a bra from them knowing it'll fit when it arrives. Belle lingerie is the cheapest place I've found them

Nods. I have good everyday and nice bras - Elomi, Goddess, Panache etc. It’s more the lingerie items of corsets, camisoles, baby dolls, suspenders, jumpsuits, teddies etc that never seem to be scaled properly or with care. Don’t people realise that larger, lusty, lush ladies have insatiable sexual appetites too?!

I know right?!!!

That annoyed me too, I mean to be fair once I’ve put it on and moved like a graceful elephant across the room to throw myself like an overly enthusiastic walrus on the bed, I’ll have accidentally ripped the crotch anyhow. But yes, I want my vagina held up not revealed through the slit like sausage meat being squeezed out of its skin.

I’m not saying I’m not beautiful, thank you for the compliment btw, I’m very clear I’m large and graceless though! My dear friend, a forumite here, has the injuries to prove my point, and calls me “clumsy lady” frequently whilst I’m making my moves and being sexy.

Great thread OP.

I agree that finding babydolls and similar for a larger lady or just a larger bust is bloody difficult.

The crotchless thing is another bug bear of mine too.

Having a larger hourglass shape seems to make it worse

Strangely Primark bodysuits in a large fit me well...

Will have a look at Elomi.

Chubby girl here. Elomi is a massive no for me, it's like slightly prettier scaffolding and that's dull. I want the sexy velvet that caresses my curves, the delicate lace that hints at what's below.

I've mentioned this brand a few times but Playful Promises. I bought a silk teddy in my favourite colour and it's absolutely beautiful - sexy, perfectly cut to show my waist.

Asos have some nice lingerie pieces in now and again, you do have to keep an eye out though as they sell out quickly.

I'm sorely tempted by an item from Fashion Nova at the moment but shipping I'm not sure of. They have some really sexy lingerie pieces. Prettylittlething does as well.

You're right though, there needs to be sexier things for bigger women. The US have far more options, we've either got the option of squeezing ourselves into casing and doing our best squeezed sausage impression or some floaty number which we should perform Wuthering Heights in.

Preach!

I wholeheartedly agree, the day to day is fine. It’s the equivalent of Agent Provocateur deluxe pieces all texture and sensual and hinting of your other life as a high class prostitute or vintage sexy sculpted pieces from yesteryear allowing you to play out your Hollywood vamp best that I too crave.

Will check your choices - I scan ASOS, as you know, and have nice pieces from there. But fuck me, I want to open a brand that looks at the diversity of large and in charge body shapes out there and allows them to make their partner’s eyes pop out with sheer whore vibes when they undress.

Every time I go to the US I come back with a suitcase full of underwear. Hips and Curves used to ship to the UK but now only ship to the US and Canada, which is a pain.

If there's something specific you have in mind it's worth having a chat to a couple of traders on Etsy to see if they can make you what you want, handmade bespoke so guaranteed to fit.
