If you were offered 100K to live in solitude for a year in a log cabin with basic amenities and no TV Phone or Internet , would you do it ??

It would be hard, I'd like to say yes but actually I don't think I could do it.

Maybe. Only if I could take a fully stocked Kindle with me as that is neither TV nor phone, and if I had enough books on it I wouldn't need the internet.

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

As long as I knew when it would end and I had all my books and my dog, yes. And enough toilet paper.

Would be a challenge but what's life without a challenge?!

a quandary, could you change my mind?

Before lock down I would have jumped at the chance, now I'm unsure.

But I presume I can go outside while there so that would make it easier.

Not a hope. Three months without a hug was hard enough, even with Skype and zoom and FaceTime and WhatsApp.

I lived in the woodland I manage with no roof and no four walls, no money and no possessions..completely homeless amongst my trees. It was a hard, harsh, at times worrying two years plus but I learned so much. Sure I d do your suggestion as thats pure luxury.

Cheshire

Yes but not for that much and the only reason is my kids. Losing a year of their lives, would mean I need to do it, to ensure I can justify it later to them.

So for 500k I can buy a nice house, decent car and savings in their accounts for future University fees etc...I can also take a year off to make up for the time as well.

I’m a natural loner, so 365 days for half a million, piece of piss

If I could be guaranteed that I wouldn't have fear then I would go - just me and a dog
