I'm with you there. So overrated I think, and extremely overpriced for what you get, especially as you wait your own tables, get your own drinks, condiments...!

The chicken breast pitta and peri peri salt fries is nice but Nando’s is not the pinnacle of culinary delights for sure. And why do they call it a cheeky Nando’s?

Not a great fan of chain food restaurants.

The appeal of nandos is hard to explain...it’s just ... “cheeky”

That sounds nice. We don't have a Nandos nearby as far as I know but I'd probably eat that

I’m a big fan of Nandos - it’s relatively cheap, fairly good quality & quick service.

There’s nothing else like it in the sector so have cornered the market pretty well.

It makes a nice change over the chain Italians & crap that is McDonalds/BK/KFC.

Absolutely agree 100%... cannot understand the appeal of this. Went a few times before going Vegan, never got why it was so popular.

Will never understand the hype, below average food at average prices. On the plus side it slightly better than mcdonalds and got a lovely jug of Sangria from there once.

"Most overrated culinary experience ever. Hit me..."

Its an upmarket late night night chicken and chips kebab house.

Marketed to 18-25yrs who think it's a dinning experience... Where self pour your own drinks

It also tastes bloody awful.. Id rather have greasy reformed doner meat kebab myself

Informal

Fast service

Get your own drinks, which I love in the informal setting.

For two people I genuinely spend around £25

What’s not to love

I quite like a nandos. Quick, reliable and quite cheap. Half chicken and peri fries for me.

Might make some peri peri chicken on the BBQ now after this.

Is is just me or is all Nandos food saltier than salty the seals extra salty salted cod?

I will agree with you there. Not a fan of Nando's.

Five Guys is another overpriced over hyped Fast Food group.

I probably made the mistake of going to one in London where the price would be higher but for what you get Meh its still just a fast food burger.

Bit of a bugger if you have a peanut allergy right enough

Yep. We know people who love it. Hannah, who moved to the UK a couple of years ago, has never been to one. She wants to go because she wants to see if it's really the rip-off I describe. I tell her you get a piece of chicken and you choose a bottle of sauce you can get from a supermarket. I can't believe it's as popular as it is.

Anything, you can make fairly easily yourself, is not worth going out for and being charged infinitely more!!

Nando is just average food.

I think Nandos is for people that are picky eaters and teenagers.

Been once to one in Sheffield last year with my mum and stepdad. We didn't actually hang around to eat, because as we'd never been before we had no idea that we had to order at the counter and we saw no one else ordering at the counter while we were there and no one explained it to us, so after ten minutes we got up and walked out.
