The right place

Do you still own them? Do you still use them?

I very rarely play a DVD (or blue ray) any more. I’m thinking it might be time to get rid of them.

I can just rip my favourite films and put them on a media server but the thing I like most about DVDs still is the bonus features, the behind the scenes and bloopers. You don’t get that on streaming services.

I've got two big boxes full of them. Funny thing though is that if a film I have on dvd is in TV I'll watch that. Ads and all.

Stream it all. Now that our area is getting Fibre To The Property broadband, streaming 4 or even 8k shouldn’t be an issue at all. Not that I can play 8k on anything ??

Bham

I have shit loads.

I don't really watch any of the dvds. Apart from meaning to watch Crimson Tide again as it's not on streaming.

I still watch my blu rays.

You get pennies for selling them on so I just keep them.

I do still have some VHS movies too.

I still like buying them in charity shops and can’t wait for them to reopen. Mainly music live concerts.

London

I got rid of around 200 DVDs when I last moved house. I've only kept ones that are sentimental to me (I have a copy of Time Bandits signed by Terry Gilliam, for example) or films I especially love which are rarely if ever seen/found on streaming sites or TV.

Oh, and the LOTR extended edition blu rays.

Glasgow

I have got so many. Couldn't tell you the last time I watched any of them. Can play them on PS4 but always just netflix or a film on TV. Weird because it takes 2 mins to put one on and I have some great films on dvd.
