posts - have you ever said/ written/ posted something you later looked back on and thought "ouch - perhaps I shouldn t have said that" or "should have said that in a different way"...

Sometimes, my natural exuberance gets the better of me and the brakes go on too late...;-)

There are things that I could have phrased differently, but no I haven't wished I'd not posted a particular opinion because they were my thoughts on the matter being discussed.

I don't deink so have never posted anything when I was worse for wear, but sometimes I have been a little blunt and I could have communicated better

Not on fab but yesterday I was helping a friend place an advert on marketplace on Facebook. She had put it on her wall and I cut and paste a link to the selling page on there and sent it to her as a comment. When I then checked her post....up pops the link I had sent to another friend an hour earlier for Anne Summers bullets! Argggg

No. If I said it - it was in my head.

I frequently change my mind but if I type it it IS what I was thinking at the time.

Oh yes !

I do get a bit carried away sometimes

The forums creates an atmosphere (for me) that I know people that in reality I don't.

I treat the people I get on with like I do my regular friends and say things that I perhaps shouldn't have as, at the end of the day, I don't know them anywhere near as well as I do my friends and they don't know me like they know their friends either.

The other thing is that some of the time the thought doesn't translate very well into the written word and things get taken out of context as a result.

It's a fine balance.

Newcastle and Gateshead

there are times when I have thought "why did I let them get to me?" but those times are few and far between especially with at points being goaded.... but I am much better at counting to 10 before writing something than I was.....

"I think there should be an edit feature were you can change certain bits of ur own post"

You can delete your post and re write it (or copy it before you delete so you don't have to type it all out again)

I do this a lot yet still a lot of typos get through

"For those reasons, I try to stay away from forums when drinking!"

That's a good idea I think - I know what I am like when I had a drink, too outspoken for my own good. I promised myself not to ever post under the influence, one glass is fine but stop posting when I pour my second;-)
