I think I know what you are talking about but I thought it was in Warwickshire, not far away though... but it isn't a real real beach, but a good compromise

If you head slightly out of Derbyshire to Nottinghamshire Mansfield has a desert not quite a beach but nearly the same.

Seriously

There is a beach in Derbyshire

Define beach

Sandy cove or shore

Tide nor sea required for beach

I'm actually on my way right now

Stoke-on-Trent

Lots of folks have been going to the Blue Lagoon near Buxton but it's very smelly round there lately!

And not naturist friendly.

The beach I went to had all bar the sea

The sea is not required for a beach to be a beach

Oh and seagulls dont exist

Most see a European herring gull and generically call it a sea gull

This......

If I've not had fish and chips, been dive-bombed by seagulls and swam in the sea with sewerage I've not had a day at the beach

Central

There's plenty of beach space here, whilst we keep it quiet. Derbs has it all and tides are here too. Bring your own salt, if needed.

Matlock Bath is the nearest thing you'll get to the sea in Derbyshire or you could try the blue lagoon st Harper Hill but I'd advise against swimming unless you are partial to an acid bath!

I wouldn't advise going there, the local farmers have sprayed slurry around to put people off.

hahaha.

I think I am the only person who doesn't like beaches to sit on but I think a beach is only a beach if it is by the sea and I can get fish and chips and an ice cream
