Anyone got one, any recomendations? Im looking at the Tag connected but is it just a lot of money for something an apple watch can do?

I just have a shitty looking Samsung, it does what I need for fitness and running and I can pay with it and use it to control my phone camera and make calls like I'm on Star Trek. If and when I put a big scratch in it and fuck it up then it's only a few hundred quid to replace. Plus fancy men's watches are a tell tale sign if a pretentious bellend too. How do I know this - everyone I know who owns a glittering fancy watch is a knob and that mechanism works for me....

My watch is slight care worn and scruffy. Definitely not smart.

I can't claim to know anything about smart watches but I will say there is definitely something about the sight of a well dressed man lifting the cuff of a pristine white shirt to check the time on a decent looking watch.

I'd avoid the Tag, it's one software update away from obsolescence.

Loving my Samsung, so easy to add apps, great for running and spotify.

I just got a Fitbit charge 3 , it does most things apart from nav, would like to be able to load O/S maps and waypoints when I’m running/hiking trails and peaks. Guess I need a Garmin for that ?

I’m a huge Apple fan but the watches look like a piece of junk and Tag Heur completely outclasses Apple

I’ve got a few Tags and wouldn’t bother with their smart watch if I was going to buy one.

If you've an iPhone just get the Apple watch. I've had mine a few years and love it. Integrates well with the Apple ecosystem and has been 100% reliable.

With the TAG you're not getting anything especially TAG... it's an electronic device inside their case, and as someone has already said, close to obsolete.

Unlike an expensive watch, you'll upgrade your smartwatch every now and again, so not worth spending big money on it. By big money I mean over five hundred quid.

Thanks for all the advice, the Tag sounds like it will be a bad move

I’m on my third Fitbit and Just upgraded to the Versa 2. It does everything I need with the exception of a GPS, but use both Strava and have a Garmin GPS for the bike, and it interacts with them ok.

I have had a technical problem with all three of mine, but I have to say their Customer Service is awesome when needed and they are very quick to replace with efficient delivery ... providing you ise the app and the device is registered.

I've got a Garmin Forerunner35

It's very good and the app is brilliant.

Any smart watch is built to last approx 3-4years. one thing to bare in mind when buying one.
