Well, for the most part it stays in Northern Ireland, so still within the uk.

No idea why it heads down to Dublin though

It's a good question as to why it has been allowed to travel to Dublin and not for example travel to Paris our other nearest foreign country.

Mind you it's exactly the same over football. The BBC and ITV and no doubt Sky too will be going nuts getting behind the Republic of Ireland as if they were a home nation, while being totally against France....

If the plan was to keep the torch in UK then it should have stayed in UK.
