How do you manage it?

Like I sit down prob once a fortnight and look at the messages. I’m here for the forums and event adverts really. I’m too busy with work/uni/kids to ‘chat’.

Do you Look at it all the time? Do you delete a message once it’s read?

I get called ignorant a lot but it’s not that I haven’t replied.. I just won’t have read their message.

I ought to hide my profile or something really but I do like to hear from friends if they are arranging anything.

I like to think I keep on top of messages, but in reality, my inbox is a mess. I reply to people I like immediately, delete those that are rude or mingin straight away and occasionally have a few ‘unsure’ ones that tend to linger in my inbox. These are the ones causing the problem

There and to the left a bit

I tend to deal with messages as and when they come in and either reply or not dependent on the content - some I will delete straight away others will sit there until I have a clear out

The message filters do a grand job of ensuring I don't get 200 mails per day. That and my biological lack of bosoms...

I'll go through them if I have time, did a bulk delete the other day as I hadn't read any for weeks.

If I'm in the mood - I'll look at the messages right away. If not - will leave them for later (could be a few days). Far too many message trying to catch you online and then every time you log in. Helps to filter those impatient, pushy ones.

Wrong! Most of the time it's more barren than the Sahara. Single guy remember?

sometimes if a message catches my eye, i'll read it.

most of the time i don't keep on top of it, and end up bulk deleting quite often.

like you OP, im called all the names under the sun for not reading/responding to a message (regardless of the reason/s why!)

I deal with mine straight away during waking hours. I guess that is because I am used to being all over the other inboxes in my life.

I reply even with a no thanks unless it is vile and then I delete.

We only get about 8-10 new messages a week so easy to keep on top off especially as there are two of us. We try to reply to all even if it’s a no thank you and delete. However we have been known to just delete a hello message if we check the profile and there not much there.

I reply ASAP usually and if I can’t send a well articulated message, I’ll let them know I will reply in due course and state I’m currently busy, as manners cost nothing.

Although, yesterday I had 148 and it took me hours to go through them!

I look but I am more of a forum poster than inboxer. I read when I feel like I have energy to reply "properly" mostly. Sometimes I tackle it in instalments.
