Ive had 3 trafics 05 11 and 13 all have done over 180k with only service items Biggest bill was £1100 main dealer for windscreen, front driveshaft, cambelt,waterpump and service. Best trafics in my opinion are euro 4 they

average 45mpg the euro 5 averages 40 mpg

I have a Citroen relay and can’t say I’d recommend it. Electrics are a nightmare, and despite it having the transit 2.2 HDI engine, which has loads of power and not being bad on MPG it’s a noisy engine and has been plagued by injector seat problems, had to have a dual mass flywheel and clutch replaced at 80k miles, plus a starter motor..

But it the long wheelbase, plenty of space and the van itself is light, so has the highest load capacity weight wise, in the class..

Vans are great. Got mine lined out and mint in the back. Drop a double airbed in and mobile fun everywhere.

I've had many an occasion in summer where we've parked up with the side door open and shagging in a layby. Cars often go by, turn around and come back slowly for a 2nd look, lol. Plenty of horn honking as they go by.

Vivaro/Traffic are okay, cheap to buy but older ones can be plagued with electrical faults due to aluminium wiring giving the neutral switching false resistances. Fault diagnosis is easy with an OpCom tool and laptop

Business I work for have/had Mercs, Fords, Renaults, Citroens. None really stand out from the rest.

Adblue and EGR systems are real issues these days.

Unnecessary complications that do let you down.

Just get a yellow 3-wheeler, slightly grubby with a failing and popping exhaust. Room for "dodgy gear" in the back a couple of helpers. One dozy and the other slightly elderly.
