Ban it, right now... Scourge of the earth, killing our wildlife's natural habitat. Damn you all that have it!

I'm comfortable with Sports fields and the like being artificial as they are artificial for a reason, same as why roads are tarmac and pavements flagged. It's the uptake in people laying artificial grass at home that really irks me. If we all do that then the birds and wildlife (that have already seen plummeting numbers in recent years) will be all h but wiped out.

I have artificial grass... I also have lots of other areas in my garden to attract, help and feed wildlife.

Why do you have it, I'd it just for the low maintenance aspect?

I could never maintain the grass. It was a never ending battle.

I had it in Australia, it saves on the watering.

Not too much of a problem here though lol

In the middle

I have artificial grass, I like it as the garden looks good all year round, plus we have lots of leafy plants in raised beds, several bird feeders and watering places, and right behind my house is a recreation area with woods and fields behind that, I don’t think my patch of 12’x7’ of artificial grass will make that much difference to the wildlife round here

Well you say that but then if everyone thought the same we'd have a country carpeted in plastic...
