Whats the difference in this compared with breast enlargement which seems to be more socially accepted

OK joking aside, I guess breast surgery is far more visible and affects ones figure and outward appearance?

Does that happen with surgery to the labia? I was a little flippant I admit, but its a part of the body most others will have no sight of?

Quick op, healing period is no worse than post childbirth. Feel much better now, though is some scar tissue, only noticable by me probably.

I suspect that like most things sexual there will be men who love large labia, men who hate it and some who have never really considered it one way or another.

For every body shape and size there are people who will like or dislike.

For the OP, my answer would be if it harms no one, and makes you feel better then crack on. But I'd think carefully about how happy something like that will make you feel. There are absolutely people with one issue and when it's sorted they're happy. There are also others for whom the problem they think about isn't the issue, it's their self image and sorting one 'problem' leads them to worry about another.

I hope either way you find a way to be happy with your body.

I have to be very careful with my choice of underwear due to having very little protection down there. I had the nhs version too, which was fine, but since had another baby.

I'm wondering if the private version will be more.. 'what vagina would you like' so to speak. The first time round I didnt get a say in how it looked... it was just 'fixed'

Mine was essentially "stretched" labia due to birth complications. They trimmed it to be neat and tidy about 1.5years after birth. They waited to see if it would return by itself, didn't, was uncomfortable, so they prettied it up lol

If you're doing it because it will make you happy then it's something you should look into! I've heard more good things than bad when it comes to the surgery. If you're doing it for other people, just make sure to ask yourself is it really worth it?

I've got bigger lips and I used to be so insecure and depressed over it as society can be so nasty when it comes to larger labia. It's taken a long time but I'm not too bothered by it now.

I was petrified of giving birth because I would have to show everyone my vag! And after about 30 people saw it that's when I realised just how normal my vag was and that I wasn't going to change it for a single person.

I understand not everyone can learn to accept it like I did but if my words even help one person, just know that your vagina is absolutely fine and there's nothing wrong with bigger labia. It's only childish and cruel people who would ever make you feel terrible about it.

I would say it's about 50/50 between those I find attractive and those that I don't, I'm sure women don't find all Penis's are attractive either but as with everything the beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Labia size alone doesn't really dictate attractiveness for me, same as dress size or cup size doesn't. Attractiveness is less quantifiable than that as far as I'm concerned.

I fully support anyone that wishes to make changes that will make them more comfortable in their own body. That said, I wish more people could just accept what they already have and that others could be less judgmental.

If penis enlargement was a minor operation that was unlikely to give any loss of sensation, how many men would sign up for that?

It's sad and when you're young and only just starting to explore your body and sex and then you're shamed for something that's completely normal it feels like the worst thing in the world. I carried the shame until I was in my 20s.

I see so many comments on here from women who are uncomfortable with the appearance of their vagina because it's not what society deems good enough. But they all look so very normal!! I wish people would thinm before they come out with unnecessary comments.

I'm sorry for going on I'm just passionate about vaginas and I feel like too many people get this done for men and not themselves.

I think these days there's a lot more variety in porn. You get small boobs, big boobs, saggy boobs, large labia, small labia, hairy and smooth etc.

I think that's very encouraging and hopefully the variety there is available now will help people, especially the younger generation to realise that bodies and bits come in all different shapes and sizes.

I didn’t get tattoos because I thought my skin didn't look nice enough without them... I got piercings because I like how they look... I need to wear clothes or I get in trouble... I wouldn't get a boob job or veneers, I am lucky to like myself enough to not have to understand, I guess... As awful as I sometimes find being fat is, I still wouldn't worry enough for surgery... Maybe having necessary surgery going wrong also helped any kind of thought like that... But my muff!? it's not the same reasons

I haven't had it done but I've wanted one since I was very young. My first boyfriend questioned why my labia didn't look like the ones he'd seen in porn and I've been self conscious of it ever since.

Coupled with the horrible ways people refer to larger labia it's hard not to feel negatively about it. Though I've heard some horror stories so haven't actually gone through with the procedure yet.
