I got my first 3 for Christmas one year, 1980 think it would be, Parallel Lines, Police - Regetta de Blanc and Boomtown Rats - Fine Art of Surfacing.....my Mam said she wouldn't get me the Rats album if it had Don't Like Mondays on it - so I lied sorry Mam

First single I bought myself was Turning Japanese by the Vapours
