Scipio Africanus was born into slavery and his gravestone in Bristol has just been vandalised. According to the Independent it is a tit for tat action relating to the attack on the Colson statue. Graffiti indicating as much.

Firstly it is a moron responsible. Total Colidiot.

Police are apparently reviewing CCTV and carrying out house to house enquiries. Hope they are doing the same for the other Colidiots who drowned the first statue.

These acts are all repulsive and it just escalates ...

Most people in the country knew very little about Colson prior to the last few weeks.

Admittedly I know very little about the man who's subject to this latest act.

It's more moronic acts by individuals who would be looking for another cause to justify being assholes.

I hate to say it, but the more these matters are raised, the more fuel is thrown on the fire.

Theres a lot of positive stories in the community which would help heal rifts.

This is the problem with tearing down statues you are always going to get some cockwomble coming back with a disgusting act like this.

Hopefully they will find the person who did it.
