As a mood lifter?

I'm running out of all my usual options.

Gardening..too soggy. House is spotless, freezers full of baked goods. Music is just annoying me for once. Can't head out anywhere. I've even given some furniture a makeover. I can't spend yet another day spamming the forums and need to get out of my head.

What ideas have you got for me folks?

go and sit on a bench in your local high street for a couple hours and people watch in your head you can make up stories about each one, or just drink in the pure pleasure of so many different people from the whaky to the well dressed and the just plain odd

Invent something,

Write poetry,

Write a story,

Paint something,

Make something from whatever you have lying around,

Bake something unusual.

Den of Iniquity

Do you have a park near you ??

Go for a nice walk , I've been known to go nature spotting and write down all the different creatures I see .

Just an idea .

Failing that, a bottle of red is a good call too

I use jigsaw puzzles and crafting, love messing around with natural items and the glue gun

Teach yourself something.

Maybe watch a ‘how to’ video on YouTube and challenge yourself with something new?

Download a photo editing ap and get creative?

Sort through your wardrobe and have a clear out?

Funny enough, I picked it up from a Scottish couple - friends from 30 years ago.

This ^ writing letters that won’t be delivered, helps me get all the thoughts out of my head.

It doesn’t lift the mood whilst doing it as brings everything to head, but afterwards it feels refreshing to have got it all out.

My other one is drawing and just switching the outside world off, whilst you focus and get lost in the doodle

Hope you figure it out OP x

I like the letter idea but going to save that for the weekend when my kids go to their dads.

I've messaged a mate to borrow the dog so we are off to get muddy down the river and feed the ducks. That should be good.

And I'm going to try and pick up some decent paper on the way back for sketching this weekend.

For now it's wardrobe clear out time. Far too much stuff in there no longer fits. Declutter it I reckon.

Thanks for the inspiration folks
