Love variety, like the beaches and being lazy with a book and beer, exploring cities and the like, depends on my mood I guess.

My holiday format of choice nowadays is camping in a tent with the dog.

I like to do a bit of walking and cycling, plus cooking and BBQs etc., or just chill out in the tent.

Anywhere in the UK, and one day, I shall take us across the Channel to go to France and Holland etc...

I'd say I'm one of your boring, nerdy holidaymakers. I enjoy visiying historical sites, architecture, anything to do with heritage.

London

When the kids were young it was beach, Disney and waterpark holidays.

Now it's cultural. In September it's Marrakech and the Atlas Mountains, then Egypt with a Nile cruise, top to toe Italy, China...will see after that.

I like cruising, not quite in the pampering league, but waking up with the water lapping the boat and in the middle of nowhere or near a nice village hostelry ........ Can't be beaten

I've been all over the place when I was younger and cruising suits everything I like about travelling. I have never fancied the Far East though but if I were to visit that part of the world, I would definitely do it on a cruise. x

Last holiday was 10 days in Morrocco including running the Marrakech half marathon before travelling out to the Sahara. Before that 2 weeks in Thailand including a 5 day jungle trek. I can do a beach for a day or 2 before I get bored. I like to experience new things and meet local people away from the tourist trail.

See I'm the opposite, I'd rather spend money on holidays and have the experience and the memories and experience that different way of life, just for a few weeks. To me that is more worthwhile than buying a dress.

I like big cities rather than lying on a beach. I am going to Dubai and will get to Hong Kong when I save enough money. I really want to visit more of the states and go to LA and San Francisco, Chicago etc

Norfolk

Our holidays always revolve around SCUBA diving. Once a year we have a trip to the Red Sea and a more exotic destination such as Jamaica, Borneo and the Maldives. Guess we are quite lucky really

When the kids were young it was camping in Devon, when they got a bit older it was Florida, always promised myself when they were grown and left home, I would start to discover places like Corsica, South of France, Spain, Ibiza etc but a couple of years ago I left hubby and now all I can afford to do is look at the brochures

I love skiing, it is I guess my number one preference as I love snow, the cold crisp air and the thrill of speed going downhill. Having said that I really enjoyed Turkey on a few occasions and found the locals helpful, child friendly and very clean.

I also like Austria for its natural landscape, the great food and the sporting oppotunities.

Then again, I really enjoyed my time in Scotland

My fave holiday destination is Egypt, either a Nile Cruise (if on my own or if with my mate) or Red Sea (with my mate)....I also have at least one 5 day pampering break at my fave Spa (Ragdale Hall) every year (again, either on my own or with a mate)....my best ever holiday was trekking the Inca Trail for the Blue Cross as it was an achievement for me and I raised money for charity - was supposed to be doing Angkor Wat last year for local RSPCA but had to cancel cos of my damned arthritic hip - it's a bugger getting old! So looks like Cambodia is going to have to be an organised holiday rather than a trek (and the prices are a bit steep!)

So want to do the Inca trail, highest on my priority list after we have exhausted the worlds best dive sites

That's such a shame, we love RC. Everyone likes different things though, life would be boring if we all liked the same x
