I heard this question asked on the radio today and thought I’d pose it to the fab forumites

What’s the best band/artist/music you’ve discovered or rediscovered during lockdown?

Mine would be band-maid

I think music is a universal language and 30 day challenges sound interesting too!

Andrew Bird is a genius, recently discovered him. Dennis Wilson- River song is one of the best things I’ve heard in a while. J.J. Cale Big White Cloud is another song I can’t stop listening too. Also a Russian band called Motorama, there album Alps is constantly on at the moment.

I've been loving the music themed threads tonight. A huge music fan and really miss gigs... Can't see them happening any time soon...

New music for me - yungblud... Refreshing and passionate... Relistening and loving..

A lot of motown, stax and prompted by the TV show plebs... Enjoying a bit of ska on my playlist too

I (Luke) have never really liked Schubert. I have taken some time to listen to some of his music recently and I have discovered that I still don't like it.

Postmodern Jukebox. It's right up my alley, I love it. Kept seeing this Spice Girls cover advertised and I got a little bit obsessed.

As I've been pissing about on the old 6 string a fair bit more with lockdown, I've been listening to a lot of guitarists.

Andy Mckee

Antoine Dufour

Stefano Barone

Kelly Valleau

Let's not forget the bass though -

Viktor Wooten

Unbelievable getting those sounds from a bass guitar

I have had a lot of time to dust off my old record collection and have found a fair few records I had forgotten about. Just recently I have been enjoying listening to Django Reinhardt. Today I have dusted off Master of Puppets
