I've only gone missing a few times due to a forum ban. Enjoyed the little break when its happened but always get a warm welcome back again and have even received messages when they notice I haven't been active. It's nice to know I'm missed by some! I'm well aware that most couldn't give a monkey's flunky though!

Nope. I've wandered off for a few weeks at a time in the last few months, just hidden my profile when things got tense and stopped being fun. The only person who noticed has other ways of contacting me so it wasn't a big deal.

My early morning wake up call was missed.

We took a break a few weeks ago and again a couple of friends messaged. I don't think we would be missed only by friends we have connected with.

When I went unlos with the Lacey and Sam profile I missed lots of you, that’s the only reason I came back.

I’ve always been the guy that says it’s just words on a screen.

I missed the words.

I’ve realised lately that the frank openness about talking to people on here is something that’s very important to my headspace.

I wouldn't expect them to. However I have gone unlos several times and ppl do seem to. I always get messages asking where I've gone and ppl trying to lure me back with snippets from the forums or telling me it's boring without me - oh yeah I'll come back then if it's boring...!!!

We notice when people we’ve met - mainly at socials - go quiet or unlos. It’s great when they come back fhough.

Not sure our absence would be noticed now due to not being as active as we were 4/5 years ago

I would like to believe that there is at least one person amongst Lounge users who would miss every one of us. It doesnt have to be someone you expect.. but in the ocean of comments we all get a chance to stand out in more or less obvious ways. The ones that matter to me, arent the ones that will touch others or make them reflect, laugh, hope. I truly hope that we all touched someone in a virtual way without knowing it or being acknowledged at the time for more than one reason..and we wouldnt know any different until we would disappear.. when it would no longer matter so much. I caught myself on that today when popeye left. Sometimes we dont realise someone has made a positive mark on our fab journey, no matter how small, until they are gone. Just like in the outside world... so let's rush to appreciate people around us. That's my conclusion for tonight. Thanks for everyone's contributions.

When I’ve left before I actually posted one of those leaving threads. But to be fair I didn’t stretch it out and left pretty much immediately after posting!

It is a cycle but I still remember fondly some that have left.

They were all characters and different in their way. All added something good to the place.

I think at the moment as so many people are taking a break from the forums and some with profile unavailable people can get lost in the new fab we find ourselves in.

Do we not care? Of course not we just all have our own stuff and demons to deal with.

When people start seeing the kids back to school, head back to the office I think the forums will go back to how they were in January. Then people will notice if you go silent or unlos.

From my perspective we all have our place here but I respect peoples need for quiet.

Lots of comments go unreplied to - Tuberose wasn't doing it with malice and it's not an example of every other person got a reply bar you. I think you would be noticed if you went UNLOS but I also can't think of a poster (bar Ash, Jim and Privateparts) who are inclusive and reply to all. We've all been there, post a comment and nothing back. I think this thread was actually quite an interesting one; it's interesting seeing what people want to be remembered by and if they think they are invisible/easily forgotten or not. We all make the fora what it is, whether that's through flirting, daftness or thought provoking posts. Anyway, nice thread Tube, I enjoyed it a lot.
