OP. This can happen in the last trimester as the muscle contractions start preparing for the event. Mention it to your midwife though and try not to worry

If you are in the later stages are you starting to get braxton hicks?

Could be hormonal?

Everything will be softening up in readiness for birth.

Mention it to the Midwife to be sure though
