Anyone got any experience with resistance bands. Just started using a set and wondering how effective they are at building muscle.

Anecdotal, but L had one snap on her in the gym, that was pretty funny. She uses them a lot to good result though.

My son and I were just talking about these.

I've heard good things about them. I've never used them so it will be interesting to see if people like them.

The right place

My son uses them. Apparently they are best for toning and definition rather than building bulk.

Ouch. Was she hurt?

Just a bit of a slap and a shock, made hell of a noise though. She said they’re really good for toning, uses them as part of her routine as opposed to the only thing she uses. Given current climate any type of workout is a good workout.

Incredible for functional strength due to increased time under tension but not for building mass from what I understand

I bet.

I suffer with an historic back injury, weights tend to irritate it.

There’s a guy on YouTube, James Grage. cracking shape and he claims he hasn’t lifted for 3+ years. Not sure how true that is mind. His training vids are ok though.

I’ve done 4 sessions with them now, they give a good burn and ache the following day so guessing they are working something

I was under the impression that as long as muscle is under tension for more than 30 seconds then there will be growth

I got myself a set start of covid and tbh couldn't get used to them very different from free weights and cables but worth persevering with I hear..
