Didn’t really make a difference. We would just go to places that would cater for both of us and when we were at home we would eat different things. We both had our own views, I don’t think two people have to agree on everything.

What about using same dishes or kissing after a meal?

I have an extremely great friend who is vegan.. And I'm. A full on carnivorous animal... Doesn't effect our relationship at all... He isn't offended that I eat meat.. I don't mind that when I cook for him, that I have to supply his dietary requirements.

Not a vegan but I'm vegetarian. Most of my relationships have been with omnivores. It was only ever an issue with one who basically didn't eat vegetables so we had hardly any food we could both eat. With most I've just made veggie and meat versions of the same meal. Some exs have been happy just eating my veggie food and eating meat in meals we didn't share.

Don't know about you but I wash my dishes after dinner and kissing is fine. I'm not militant about it I just don't eat meat that's all.

We were really weird and washed our dishes.

As for kissing, I’m not sure the first think I would do after eating my dinner would be kiss someone. I eat a lot of garlic

I'd probably keep one pan seperate though for cooking fatty meats like bacon. And you should keep chopping boards seperate to avoid food poisoning anyway.

I don't find it an issue at all, in my home I hve a meat eater a vegan, and a vegetarian.

it's not too difficult, most restaurants have vegan and vegetarian options, so if I'm eating out with someone who has a different dietary choice it doesn't seem to be an issue.

I think there are certain meats he enjoys too much to switch entirely. But our sausage sandwiches are ALWAYS the Richmond vegan ones now, as they taste the same and are higher protein, and he always makes vegan cakes now too. He's very careful not to cross contaminate and understands that I'd rather not prepare his meat (I will, wearing gloves) if I have to.

A bit of give and take. But he's definitely got more open to vegan food as we've gone on.

I used to date a vegan girl. She used to eat all the flowers I bring her. She doesn't moan when we had sex as it was hard for to admit that it was a piece of meat that was pleasuring her. She used to keep her eyes closed as she didn't want to see me getting pleasure from a piece of meat!

Yes, love the beyond burger! Super convincing.

Not sure I've tried the Quorn nuggets, I'll try and find some. I've avoided Quorn for ages as so much of it still has egg in, but Omni's often don't know that so have tried to serve it to me. I found it easier to just say I didn't like Quorn products!

There are the subtle vegans and the 'knock-the-burger-from-your-hand' types. Now it has been given the legal status of a belief system its taken the pleasure out of discussing it.

Not sure what bit eh is... guess...

- You would discuss differently with a part time "veggie" vs an ethical vegan. One has a belief system the other a virtue signalling accessory when it suits them.

- Condoms and coatings they use spermicides etc have been tested on animals.

I'd prefer to date a fellow vegan (or at least vegetarian), if only because it would make life a lot easier in terms of meals, restaurants, etc. But I wouldn't rule out dating a meat-eater as long as they respected my choices. I'm not the type to try to force people into going vegan anyway.
