The look reply silent trick?

The age old fab magic trick performed by many females on this site.

They read your message, they read your profile, they reply in positive sparkles.

The stage is alight, as you reply back to them in the hope that this is the show to take you to vegas!

Suddenly from nowehere she reads the message, doesnt reply and remains silent.

You wonder why as the magic trick ceases to continue.

This age old fab magic show seems to have occurred to me this time once again.

So females out there why would you do this to someone so sweet as I lol

Why do the females here, read a message sent to them, read the profile, respond positively and in kind, but then once you reply they read and stay silent?

They dont delete but stay silent.

you write again but they stay silent.

any thoughts?

It's an ego trip, there was a new report on it, women joining dating sights just to see if they could pull but never actually going on a date, men aren't far behind lol

When you say they reply, are they engaging in conversation, or just saying thank you to a compliment you originally sent?

Either the conversation died or something in the message put me off.

What sort of messages do you send in the first place?

A nice cordial message specific to the individual and their profile as I read all profiles anyway.

They or in this case "she" responded in kind complimenting me and my profile so I then replied (however 7hours later as life does happen) and since then ive had nothing but read and silence from her. Not even deleting to my messages, merely read and silence.

Just found that odd.

People have lives outside FAB OP, it's easy to open a message and think yes I'll reply, then life gets in the way.

Don't read too much into it

If they are interested they will get back to you, in their own time

This ^^^^^ I often said polite replies and have a little chit chat but theres no real spark or connection so it runs cold. A lot of fellas seem to assume if we have a conversation I'll immediately meet up, even in the current lockdown, and that frustrates me so I stop talking. Or very quickly I get "what are you looking for" though I've answered on my profile or "what do you want to try" which always puts me off a little, talking so intimately with someone I've just met.

I'm a friendly lady, but I'm not going to go home with just anyone

I replied it was engaging not polite.

Because you are just realising (most) women are (usually) more emotionally driven?

look at the responses from women here.

Sounds as like you are expecting a logical response of...I messages her so of course she should message me back.

Tldr: emotionally intelligence improves your responses

If they haven't replied to a message, don't send them another one, school boy error. Just delete the message thread and move on.

Aberdeen, Leeds, Sheffield

I've have that happen on occasions, I tend to assume that either she just lost interest, though it often seems odd to just lose interest in a conversation you were interested in, or she got distracted, went away, did something else, and when she comes back a while later 200 more messages have flooded into her inbox and drown out the conversation we'd managed to get going.

I'd like to think if I were having a conversation with someone that seemed to be going somewhere, then even amongst all the one-liners I'd remember it, and so I'm that easily forgotten then it's for the best anyway.

Best just not to overthink it though, move on and don't dwell on it.

I give it a couple of days, if I don't here anything at all, block and move on. Nothing personal, it just saved me trying them again and having the same outcome.

If the convo goes on over a few days back and fort then starts to Peter out, I'll probably give it more time but eventually, again, block and move on.

Don't fret about it, just remind yourself most women, couples an TV/TS ladies get swamped with messages. I have every sympathy with them. Honest.

Perhaps there was a lull of incoming mail when you first made contact, so they replied positively to you and perhaps to some others to encourage some flow. Once the deluge re-started, your contribution wasn't needed anymore. Just a thought.

Sure we've all been there. Recently had his with a couple. She/they did not reply so I've got rid. If they're interested they can message me. You've just got to learn to accept this scenario.

Sometimes you might mean to reply but get side tracked, the momentum can be lost. Or, you don't want to offer encouragement.
