That makes someone lack social skills or common sense?

When I talk of social skills I mean interpersonal, communication, empathy etc and when I talk of common sense I mean having sound judgement of practical things.

Why is it more obvious on sites like this? I don’t like the term ‘weirdo’ but I’m struggling to think of a better description.

Overnight I had several messages from someone who lives in my village who had recognised me from pictures I posted yesterday on here. He didn’t message me on here but via social media (we are not ‘friends’) and the content of his messages were just...creepy.

I’m more annoyed than anything else, but it just makes me wonder what makes him think that is ‘ok’ in the first place.

Sorry you had to go through that. Some people just act without thinking while others are just dicks.

It's unsettling though isn't it? I hope you're OK.

They could have a spectrum disorder.

Or they could just be an asshole.

I’ve literally just been talking to someone about this!

I picked up a “nasty” 2 years ago from here, hence the now-new profile. 17 months of pure Hell.

People really should know that cross-platform mailing is so not on. I’ve deleted dating apps etc now and have a very locked down fb account due to it. Just feels like you have zero privacy!

Really hope you’re fine and consider blocking him

Much love x

My thoughts are that fab is for escapism from the humdrum of real life, why make your 2nd world difficult, relax and enjoy the banter

Of course, anyone with ASD excluded.

I know who he is, he’s in his 50’s so assume he messaged elsewhere because of my filters here.

His messages consisted of telling me where I lived and suggesting meeting today, among other things.

I just blocked him but it most definitely zaps the fun out of the site.

I once had someone approach me in a shop, to tell me he liked my pics on fab! (I live in a very small town)

My theory is they see you on here and think you're fair game ..sad but true

I think you're probably correct here.

Eccles

I had a similar experience a couple of years ago. A 'supposed' female made lots of contact and when she felt she had enough info about me she asked, "What would it be like if I printed off our emails and sent them to everyone you know, because I know where you live and work." That was creepy. Thankfully Fab sorted this person out (they pulled the plug on that person straight away). It still made me wary afterwards.

Your guy is creepy, edging on being stalker-ish.

I would contact Fab, and if he tries again, then the police. You ve got to feel settled in yourself and he's stopping that.

It just shows how narrow minded they are.. and how they cannot really comprehend that this is not 'escorts/horny bitches for free' website. They are usually the ones who end up never meeting anyone due to their sense of entitlement. . And lack of respect.

I think you hit the nail on the head.

He’s seen me on here and thinks I’m fair game and must be up for it as he lives so locally.

My village is tiny, so I will no doubt ‘bump’ into him at some point. I just hope he doesn’t ‘out’ me.
