Remembering forgotten 90s tunes

London/Essex... ish... Romford to be exact

I was enjoying the nostalgic trip so I'm continuing the thread. There were some great (and some awful) tunes listed previously. But I had particular enjoyment in reminiscing over the ones which don't get a mention on the radio anymore or anywhere for that matter.

What surprised me was that there were so many bands and artists who were one hit wonders or who only enjoyed their fifteen minutes.

Was it easier to be a musician in those days? Did the benefits system in this country allow artists to pursue artistic endeavours more easily? Is the music industry now the domain of privileged kids, or indeed just kids who are tech savvy with social media knowhow?

Anyway...! Suede, Animal Nitrate

wirral

I saw the first part to this thread and also the classical music thread and I just love it when the two are combined.

I reccomend going into youtube and searching for chicane offshore and the Ulster orchestra. It is pure bliss that builds up inside you as you listen.

I also recommend the ibiza classics with the Philharmonic

You remember the video with the people from the year book?

Well they did an update of it. It's on YouTube somewhere. It's brilliant.

I'm not certain what donk is but I think I've found it. Erm... Its a different vibe for sure haha. I'm totally enjoying the rave video though. I didn't get to embrace the rave culture at that time... Sad times.

All That She Wants has been mentioned by multiple people. I prefer The Sign though. One of my first CDs I ever bought.
