I opt for clothes that fit me properly and flatter my figure...harder than it seems with an hourglass figure as everything is too big on the waist.

For proper tailored clothes I will often invest in designer pieces because I find the cut, fit and materials used better than cheaper alternatives. But everyday stuff, nah, I love a Primark t-shirt

I am mixed with this. Certain things I like to be labelled and others not.

For an example I often where black chinos, shirt and blazer.

The blazer and shoes need to be decent and I like a label. But I’m not bothered about the trousers and shirt. The quality of shirt needs to be good though

I buy branded stuff for my 15 year old son as at that age children are brutle if you dont go with the fashion my 4 youngest it's a mix and match of brands and un branded . Me I couldnt give a toss about cloths spend most my life in work cloths the rest of the time doing stuff in the house or with children I dint dress up offen so most my nice looking stuff is primarnie lol

We both go for what’s comfortable, however we do mostly shop in designer stores, so our comfortable clothes are branded if that makes sense.

We don’t necessarily go in for brand culture so to speak, but do like nice things, good quality and how they make you feel. Most of our clothing is very subtly branded anyway, we buy them for us not to show other people.

I stick to the same 4-5 brands for my clothes. They are not expensive at all but they are vintage inspired and I know what fits me and is comfortable and no need to go to the shops to try them on, which is a bonus as hate shopping. Shoes etc. I just get what I like the look of don't care where they are from. X

yes it does I spend all my money on my children leaving very little for myself so hence my t-shirts are primarny and shorts etc my work cloths are dickies or scuff but the business pays for them. Bit to be honest as long as the cloths arent talking off me I'm happy with what I got

I get asked that, even before I had a kid. Why would I spend £200 on a pair of shoes or £100 on a shirt jot more just because it has a label inside, better uses for my money. I suppose I see clothes as practical things that I need, just like I need food and water to survive

I like my brands, it stems back to getting annihilated at school every day if you didn't wear what was deemed as cool. I don't wear obscene stuff plastered in names though. Plus with having quite a sculpted physique I find more expensive clothes have a better cut and fit

I’d say definitely, we buy what we do because we’re lucky enough that we can, don’t want to sound awful but we rarely check the tag if we like something, we just get it because it doesn’t really matter.

What does upset us though is the pressure people feel to need to have designer things for the sake of having them. Specifically with teenagers who have so much peer pressure to need to have this stuff. Dread to think how many parents have a balenciaga jumper on the credit card because little jimmy had to have one for the Tuesday night disco.

I think the issue is social media, and being drummed into people they need to be like Kim kardashian and Kanye west. Don’t see any issue with things costing a lot, it’s the pressure people feel that they have to have these things that is the real problem.

I order most of my stuff online, places like USC or Reem clothing. I used to like ASOS but their mens stuff is horrendous these days. Being a bit of a rocker I order a lot of official band T-shirts too (only for bands I like or have seen live!) so EMP is a decent online store for those

I don't really care about the price or name on my clothes as long as I feel I look decent wearing them. Anything from Primark upwards is fine with me.

Apart from footwear, I'll pay quite a lot of money for a comfortable pair of shoes/trainers. Lifes too short for bad footwear when you're on your feet all day

My everyday handbag is a Michael Kors tote that I got 6 years ago - I use it every day for work, I haven't been overly kind to it, but even now it isn't showing any signs of wear. I would easily have gone through more than £300 worth of cheaper bags in 6 years with them breaking and looking tattered.

It really depends on what it is. Trainers I will happily spend a pretty penny on because I think they are worth it, same as a decent coat/jacket, a pair of boots or a good pair of jeans. If it fits and works for me then it's worth it. I don't do designer, it's all highstreet.

Same goes for my children. Shoes etc I will spend what's needed, my eldest is gradually getting more expensive as she gets older but my youngest is a four year boy, he gets what can cope with him recking it in the park!

I've seen people get into debt just so they can wear designer labels and own fancy gadgets. It's shocking how far some people will go.

My partners aunt recently sent us some clothes for our daughter. It was a small box, maybe 15 outfits but all designer and worth well over £3000. If you've got it to spend then it's fine but I honestly could never.

I only wear a few brands.... Polo , Burberry , Hugo Boss , and Nike.... everything I wear is mostly black and I never have big logos/letters all over it....

I like these brands because they just last longer...

Now my suits are always made from scratch at the tailor...

As far as jeans, suits, shirts etc, i go out of my way to buy something that doesnt have the brand displayed, no matter how discreet it may be. Ive got relatives who will pay way over the odds for a label and it looks like someones been sick on them. "Do you like my new top? It cost £200!"

Most stuff I wear is unbranded, I’ve got a few decent t Shirts from Hugo boss, all saints and Micheal kors. But most are plain black or white from George or primark etc.

For items that will last me a lifetime and be worth something if I ever wanted to sell them such as watches or a designer belt or bag, then I’ve no issue splashing out on them.

It all depends what floats your boat, some people will tell you you’re wasting money spending £350 on a belt or £1000 on a bag, yet they’re paying £400 per month on a car

It’s so much harder now, used to be great especially in posh little towns, we often used to day trips with the kids to places with good charity shops.

Nowadays they run them differently and eBay the good stuff and you gotta be fast! Big Oxfam in York for example - staff take all the good stuff , I spoke to someone there who said they took the job primarily to furnish their flat ! I got a 1950s Coca Cola picture that’s quite rare collectible from there , these days it would be put upstairs and ebayed.

I don't care about brands, so long as I like it, that's what matters. The money I save on my clothes goes on my daughter's branded stuff! Bloody kids!!!

I won't compromise on shoes or boxers, they have to be the best. Life's too short to be uncomfortable. Everything else is up to what I like and the value of it. I'm a sucker for coats and jackets though......and I knit my own wool scarves.

It all depends on what the activities the clothes are for, for example Mr is a climber/mountaineer and he will research into the most suitable clothing for the conditions he will encounter. Therefore these usually cost more but when such items could ultimately save his life it's a price worth paying.

The same can be said for his motorbike clothing or any items which are to protect the person within them.

When it comes to sporting clothes for both of us, climbing (Mr) or running (both of us) we will pay more for certain items e.g trainers. He likes the branded outdoor gear, whereas I would sometimes buy myself the cheaper version but that's because I know what activity I am using them for... I will never be climbing a frozen waterfall .... so sorry P, I know that disappoints you

If I am buying normal clothes and shoes, lingerie etc then I like a bargain and will buy during the sales. I am not fussy over brands as nobody cares when they are on the bedroom floor

So, it's a bit of a mixed bag for us.

Actually me too charity shop all the way, also been know to raid Primark. Jeans t-shirt ,flannel shirt...leather jacket it's a grunge thing!

Style all the way for me (husband). Very heavily influenced by early sixties suits etc. My wife is less obsessive but will always look immaculate when we go out also opting for a late 50s/69s look

Not really, my clothes come from a range of places, if I like it I will buy it wherever it is from.

I do like nice handbags and purses though, Radley is my favourite .

And I do have to have posh hair straighteners (Cloud9) as I find them to be the best ones.... And I've tried all brands and prices ranges.

I didnt even know you can put trainers in the washing machine

If your putting them in the machine, take the laces out or it leaves marks where the water hasn't got too
