...plaster political and social injustice statements in our updates?? This is a place of fun and escape! Unless it's an opinion about your favourite sex position, I'd rather not see it on your update. There are better more relevant places to put your opinion. And yes, I know I don't have to read it, and I can just move on, but there seems to be lots these days and I know, by just a glance, what it's about.

We want to know what people are like, how we would get on and the sort of things we might end up talking about. If somebody writes something on their updates or profile that shows they feel strongly about something then they are perfectly entitled to do so, and it helps us see what is important to those people. I think it's a good thing.

This site may be geared towards people's sex lives but there is more to it than rumpy-pumpy.

Yeah, if mine was a single profile, think I'd be blocking them.

I wouldn't mind them in a forum thread, where I can make the decision to read it. I think that would be a better place.

It can instantly attract or repel me. Saves time.

I enjoy seeing them.

It you don't like seeing them, don't look.

Life is as simple as you make it.

It's the individual's own profile. They can post what they want.

The forums...anyone can post a thread and others respond or don't as they choose.

If you dont see the pattern OP, others choices are theirs to make, and if you dont like those others choices, simply move on to where you feel more content and less ranty....

That’s the beauty of freedom of speech, you can say what the fuck you want even if it’s offensive and no one agrees. It’s a shame it isn’t going to last long tho because hurting people’s feelings is becoming a crime. Let people be, you can tell a lot about someone from their words.

Cheshire

Much better than the usual ‘I’m fed up of this site and I’m leaving’ or ‘does nobody ever meet on here’ etc... that I see on a regular basis. Often with profiles with very few pictures and no text.

However it’s up to them, as it’s there status and thinking a rant is going to change things is very optimistic

Optional filtering materials can be a blessing

I like it. An extra filter so I can increase my block list.

Sometimes, people like to just have a conversation about relevant topics..

An updated status can show your character, it draw the right people to you and let the ones that don't like you block them selves from your view. Its a good thing to do. Especially as we can't meet, it gives people something to talk to you about. Rather than , how are you? So if you are bothered about what people say in their status updates, just block their profile and it need not bother you again.

I did say in an earlier post that if mine was a single profile, I would block. But you're absolutely right.
