I think given the predominant philosophy on Fab all people can do is make their own choices on the matter. I don't participate in expression of sexual desire in racial terms, myself.

I used to think it was very demeaning, but have over time learnt that the term tends to be used more by those that have a race kink, as opposed to those that perhaps just happen to have a preference for black men.

As long as (some) black men respond positively to it, it will persist.

I had a discussion with a black guy about this and he said the fetishising of bbc made him feel like he was being objectified because of his cock and not who he was a person.

That's of course what women have faced for years. Nonetheless it's demeaning.

Clearly not to those that introduce themselves as a BBC - or to those that respond to the term.

Also this fetishisation is obviously rooted in racism but it translates to racial violence. Stereotypes about black male hypersexuality has violently oppressed black men, contributed to our death in many cases and also translates to our perceived threat. White supremacy creating this stereotype that some guys can use to get a shag doesn’t change any of the racial violence it allowed and allows.

If some black guys want to use it to get a leg over, whatever but it should be a term only used with the consent of all parties involved, not thrown about all over the internet to objectify us.

"Nonsense call it what it is. BBC isn’t offensive and many black guys use it in their profiles.

I had this discussion with a few guys in the swinging community and this is my conclusion...

The black guys with big cocks don’t mind the term bbc at all because they live up to the term BBC...

The average or smaller black guys have a problem with this term and will scream from the rafters it’s demeaning... Think short man syndrome....

Now in all my years of swinging, I have never gotten sex just because of the size of my penis... I still had to be a gentleman and charming.... When meeting people in the vanilla or swinging world no one using the term Bbc except in the bedroom...,.

If a guy presents himself as BBC that it tell me as much about where he's coming from as those actively looking for BBC.

If a black guy approaches be without using BBC then I know it's not that angle he is coming from.

Just a guy looking to meet a woman.

If the BBC doesn't have an issue with it then I don't.

Whenever I see a thread like this, I think we have to be careful to distinguish between preferences and being racist, ageist or just offensive. People shouldn't be made to feel it's not ok to express a preference, but at the same time they need to be careful not to objectify, either deliberately or through the thoughtlessness that comes with relying on porn, which I suspect accounts for a lot of it. Same as the threads saying things like "I wanna meet a shemale".

Personally black dicks for white chicks and bbc is racist, it doesn't offend me, but if we changed cock for lips I bet people can see my point? Racial stereotyping in one direction only is ?

Very fair points. Trying to stop people using BBC isn't really a universal decision. It's a fetishised term and there are many out there that aren't judged.

The term BBC doesn't hurt anyone beyond pride

It’s really on the black guy to judge if he is being fetishized or not...

Example....

“ My wife wants your bbc “

if I get a email like this , I just block and delete.... because we are not on the same wavelength and after reading my long profile.. that’s all they can come up with...

Now if I get a email stating....

“ Great profile and pics , I think you are what we are looking for “

I’ll answer because they are on my wavelength....

So we as black men have a choice of letting people fetishize us or not.....

We can’t just blame the phase BBC.....

The next thing you know BBW and pawg will be banned also...

The guys who actively play up the term BBC really don’t get the historical context behind the objectification of black men. Since the white man laid eyes on the black man, we’ve been another’s species,

I genuinely feel sorry for the men who play up to it and don’t have a sense of the nuances meanings behind it. I am pretty sure when they really educate themselves beyond their dicks, they’d get it.

As for the white people who engage with this wholeheartedly, I really have nothing to say to them. Don’t expect any better..

You do realize that the term BBC is only used in porn ? Right

Women don’t come up to black men in public saying “ Hey , BBC I want your cock “

Now let’s say you get your wish and the term BBC is banished from the universe....

Now how the hell are we going to search for interracial porn...

“ A group of 5 black gentleman Has sex with inexperienced doctoral south Asian University student “

Honestly , all black Men have to do to not feel fetishized is avoid any women that state they are size queens...

These females put penis size as a top priority....

Also , if you think all females and couples that use the term bbc are fetishized black men.... For some strange reason they always ask for a face and body pic before a meeting....

You would think if all they cared about was my penis, my appearance would be irrelevant.....

No, the term BBC is not just used in porn. It is used here too and in the swinging world generally, which is why we are having this convo.

Your response to a serious conversation is “how the hell do we search for porn?”. Really?!

They can make up something else that is not offensive with all the historical garbage behind it.

And no, it doesn’t have to be educated black man bla bla as you say. That would be too much of a reach for the ppl in porn, but am sure they can come up with something that’s not offensive. After all, there a lot of English worlds to choose from.

"It is only something that black men can get rid of. If we don't react to it then it will stop being used. "

I agree to this partially. This is also something that the people doing the objectifying are also responsible for.

There no issue with saying a black man has a big dick in your personal or one-to-one interactions with them, but when you equate a whole person to their appendage, that’s not healthy, am sorry. That becomes a problem when you have white people emailing people they don’t know and saying “looking for bbc”.

If I emailed a woman on here and emailed the same but replacing the term bbc with someotjnf derogatory that is linked to the historical shit that women have gone through, you probably would be incensed. But somehow, you aren’t for black men.

It's had staying power because of the glorious BBC media organisation. It wouldn't have remained as commonplace without it, I think. BWC doesn't have the same recognition as BBC but if it had been KFC or another known acronym, it would have.
