Do you do any ‘weird’ things to calm yourself down when anxious?

One of mine is chewing my clothes.

I'm a scratcher and a picker. There's one patch of skin just above my right knee that I will scratch and scratch.

I find pimple popping videos help with the picking - they give me the same tiny release of tension.

I am a terrible picker too! There is more of us.. if I recall from some previous threads. Have couple of pimples which I wont let heal fully. I organised someone to keep telling me off about it. Helps a little. And I so love watching blackheads squashing videos

I never had spots, even as a teenager, which is probably just as well.

I now have menopausal acne and I'm a bugger with it. One of my mates threatened to get me those scratch mitts you get for babies, stop me messing with it!

Thank all that's holy for Josefa Reina

Haha! I wish there was something like the nail polish for biters to make me stop. I have been fairly good for last couple of days. It's just my chin. Hormonal spots. Before period usually.

There is something so satisfying about getting a hearty squeeze and knowing the bumpy surface it's gone even if its bleeding and oozing

Write my shopping list or pluck my eyebrows.

Sometimes I call my dad to discuss politics so I can replace anxiety with rage. Depends how masochist I’m feeling

This is relatable. Someone said to me one that I was spending so much time learning and then ranting about specific social issues to do exactly that. It really is masochism isn’t it.
