Great walk yesterday and a first, spotted a beaver swimming up the river almond about 6:30 pm

I've been looking out for them for months, first actual sighting so very happy to have finally spotted on, had to let small group of passing youths know and only after realised how weird and suggestive my comment to them of "want to see a beaver" might have seemed!!

on the road to nowhere in particular

A lot of kites flying over this area recently, from being an endangered species a few years ago to being plentiful nowadays

Never seen a beaver but around here we get a lot of ragadans which destroy the banks of lakes so the locals kill them.

Must have been special to spot one.

I've seen beaver in Scotland and Sweden. They're amazing creatures. I'm excited for you

I've seen evidence of them for ages.

Once you get your eye in you see gnawed trees all along the banks.
