I know this is dull as f**k, and i apologise but this whole olympic tickets thing is a joke.

We get asked to submit our bids AND leave our credit/debit card details...only to be told that ''sorry but you did not get any tickets for the evnts you asked''.....and now because they can't shift the corporate tickets which we obviously reserved en masse we are supposed to be grateful that we can re-apply!!!

Harumph.

of course tickets for big business were held back - hey if they are gonna pay over the odds then any event organiser would do so ... but better a ticket sold at standard price then a higher price ticket not sold ...

it happens everywhere not just the olypics ...

anyone recall the Euro96 semi final between France & Czech Republic at Old Trafford?? Tickets for the game were sold out months before the event, as England would have played there had they not beat the Dutch in the group ... so in the end the stadium appeared half empty (stats say only 44K were there, for a +70K seat stadium)

"The entire Olympic movement is a lot of bollocks."

Does the Olympic Movement (The IOC) have anything to do with ticket sales and distribution?......or is it down to the host nation?

Virtually everything to do with ticket sales and conditions. Hence NuLabour being required to enact the law in 2006 as they did.

Whilst on an Olympic theme, an article on BBC Sports is headed :

"Serious drug cheats to be banned from the next Olympics." - as against a two year ban which will likely fall between Olympics.

Really?

So those drug cheats who are just pissing about get only a slapped wrist?

Kidderminster+ surrounding areas.

there are thousands of tickets unsold for the football and also surprisingly for the beach volleyball,

lord coe of course took all the best tickets for the big events for his corporate events company but would like us all now to support the olympics by buying up tickets for these lesser events!.
