What kind of hotdogs you been having? It should be in a finger roll, a sandwich is 2 separate, or more if you're really hungry, pieces of bread with a filling in between

I've always gone on if the sausages are sliced and in bread it's a sausage sandwich..... a whole sausage in a roll it's a hotdog ??

No because it's in a bun and not 2 slices of bread. Sliced bread is a sandwich. A bun is a roll. The "hotdog" is just the sausage, nothing to do with the roll.

There are many different forms of bread, not just white sliced.

It's a roll that you use to make a baguette! Just like a wrap is a type of bread you use to make a wrap.

You don't make a baguette.. you use a baguette to make a sandwich.

A wrap doesnt (?not always/ever) has yeast in it therefore not bread.

A hot dog isn't a sausage, a hot dog sausage is a hot dog sausage.

A hot dog is the sausage and bread together.

You could have a bratwurst, which is a sausage, whack it in some bread, and then it becomes a German hot dog.

I had an Aussie tell me when I lived there what went into sausages as he used to work in a sausage factory, I've never looked at anything like that in the same way...
