"Hi guys, Last few days have felt hammered .... fatigue, mussy feeling, itchy eyes, etc etc Anyone else feeling the same.. Kicked my libido right into touch. Agree with all the above comments... plus Piriton and a decongestant tab x So frustrating as lockdown is winding down and so nice out. Just want to enjoy the sunshine and not endure it. Have been taking supermarket own brand antihistamines " loratadine" 10mg tabs not helping that much. Any suggestions?"

"2 anti histamines daily instead of one, mild steroid nasal spray, eye drops and eye mist. I’m at the point where nose bleeds are daily and I spend a lot of my time with a cold damp cloth over my eyes. Barely any windows in house open and I stay inside as much as possible (not a problem for me as I burn easily anyway) there is what looks like to be injections that you can have which give you a more permanent solution, pricey but I’m starting to feel they might be worth it. Lily " oh Lily yes sounds like your suffering more.... your like me you endure this time of year rather than enjoy it.

"There’s 2 types of meds over the counter...loratidine and cetirazine (spelling?!) and I was told that your body will usually respond to one or other of them. But...it can change each year, or after several years. So try one for a week, then the other for a week, each year to see what’s best. And have a tablet every day to keep the levels in your bloodstream, not just on days when you feel itchy. Eye drops every day morning & night, shower after being in pollen. There’s a gel I use called haymax...smear it inside your nostrils and it catches some of pollen before you inhale it. And Luffa - a tincture from the health food shop. That’s my entire armoury!! And if you’re still suffering too much, go to the gp for stringer stuff. It has been crazy this week. Good luck...it’s a bummer. Oh...and don’t have your tonsils out...I had that done in my 20s and got hayfever the very next year "

"Hhmm interesting yes I had my tonsils out in early teens to.. " My son has tonsillitis several times a year but they are reticent to remove them these days as Tonsils are the first in line to stop infections etc so pollen would logically follow that too.....
