We need a new mattress. Had a terrible experience in a previous relationship with a memory foam mattress that pretty much killed our sex lives. It was comfortable but just dead and hard work when it came to sex. Has anyone got any recommendations? We need a balance of comfort, support and bounce. Venus needs to have plenty of bounce whilst riding Mars, who also needs plenty of support when he’s pounding her from behind.

I can just see the look on the Dreams store salespersons face after they ask what kind of mattress are you looking for

I couldn’t tell you a specific one, but a high spring count is generally a good thing. Used to have a full memory foam mattress here and I was fine in the beginning, but after a while it was awful.

Went back to a sprung mattress and that was way better.

The best thing to do is go to a shop and try them.....obviously not all the way! Well, not unless you record it for us all!

Firm spring mattress however it’s not very helpful when trying to fall a sleep

Yes. Firm orthopaedic centre with pillow top is my preference. Latex is an alternative to memory foam.

We would recommend a water bed. We've slept on one for 20 years and couldn't go back to a normal bed. If we stay at a hotel or with family we find the beds uncomfortable. There's a myth about people with water beds being kinky, but it's not true...honest
