Just wondering on peoples thoughts, whilst i am not against them i think that small discreet ones are sexy. Bigger ones dont really do it for me having said that i would never let tatoos gtet in the way of some fun

I have a few, two half sleeves, a leg piece and a big back piece ive just had finished today, lots dont like them, i get told a lot they are to big 'for a woman' lots dont mind the small girly ones but what people tend to forget is i didnt have them for them

Small dinky ones are fine..hate loads of them though..they can make a woman look a bit butch.

Dont like 'fashionable' scribble on the wrist either..or Mandarin gobbledigook..or stars, boring and unimaginative..'Tribal'..why?

But each to their own..its their body, their life...its only my personal opinion, and tattoos dont change the person, they are still the same under all that ink.

And im one of those boring sods who doesnt see the point in personalised number plates either..

Thing is things as daft as tattoos will attract the right sort of person to you, by that i mean people you are also attracted to, i really like the long haired, tattooed rocker look and guys like that wouldnt be put off me because of something like my tattoos, only guys who would see me as unattractive simply based on my tattoos are what id clas as straight laced guys which im not attracted to anyway so it dont matter if they're not attracted to me does it

Over all they don't do much for me, I like the natural look of a woman's body. That's not dismissing the fact some body art is very impressive they can at times have an effect of making a woman more masculine if heavily tattooed. Its all personal preference though so each to what makes them happy.

I have 6 ( fem ) and each one seems to have got slightly bigger ! Not had one now for approx 4 yrs but need another childs name put onto an existing piece but I am so afraid that buzz of the tattoo gun as I go into book will make me just wanna go for a full back piece lol

Really something very alluring about that sound and the pinching dragging slightly burning pain you get .... Mmmm

Know what you mean there..but personality plays a part too..I wouldnt be put off if a woman was covered in them if I like her persona..thats the big one with most people..hopefully they would take you for what you are and not what you are covered in..if they dont then they aint worth the bother anyway.

I dont have any tatts, (im not straight laced though..well, maybe a bit dull!! lol) and if I did I would look even more like a burglar than I do already!..couple of swallows on the backs of my hands and ACAB on me knuckles and Id be nicked for being in possession of offensive hands, and face! lol

my friends hubby hasa geisha on his arm looks awesome as well

mine was also a marking due to if anything ever happened it a recognisable feature i have sa mate who has his full name dob nhs number and such on his and his allergies on his wrists in his designs as he was ill and couldnt talk but ambulance crew were able to hel p him out

i get mail daily from guys who state they wont meet smokers, after women aged 18 to 35 etc and when i point out i smoke or im over 35 they dont seem to care even tho they took the time to fill their profile out stating what they are after

Simple fact is some on here will shag anything regarless of if that pesson is what they are looking for or not

I have small discrete tattoo...I like the fact I can show it or not show it. I don't particularly like legs tatts on guys they look awful. Cheap tatts aren't nice either....on ladies less is definitely more IMO

I've got two legs tattoos which seem to be universally popular - both unique work.

Got to admit, I'd probably not go for tribals on the legs, but then I'm not keen on tribals in general....

It's not supposed to do it for you, it 'does it' for the person that has the tatoos.

I think they can be exceptionally beautiful if you let them work with your body and have a theme to them instead of lots of timy little scribbly crappy ones.

I have 6 tattoos. I intend to have many more. If you don't like tattoos on women don't go for tattooed women. Simples!

All I would say on the note of tattoos is this-Personally I think the unimaginative tattoos that have been picked out of a book are a little rubbish, but each to their own. All my tattoos have been designed specially for me and all have individual, personal meaning. And all my future ones will be the same.

i find that quite interesting that a man with tattoos would say tattoos on a woman looks cheep and tarty, its not the first time ive come across this, ive had guys who have been quite heavily tattooed tell me they dont like them on women, so seriously whats the difference, how can someone with tattoos themselves have such a low opinion of someone else with them just because they are female?

They look good when young...

They fade, the bodies change shape and heck of a job working out what it was etc...

One or two small ones add something, a tattoo artist practise easel is not a good thing, even if your a rich person, people will think less of you...

I really do think they go one of two ways

If im out i either get people coming upto me and asking if they can have a look and tell me how nice it is to see women with 'proper' tattoos and how they like them

Or

I get people coming and telling me i have ruined myself by having them

Everyones allowed their own opinion and knowing what people are like you have to expect comments if you have anything more than the odd girly rose on your shoulder, it really dont bother me either way, i dont get offended by people telling me they dont like them because thats their opinion, i do find it odd people feel they have the rights to come over and point out to me they think they make me look shit, i look at lots of people in the street and see things i dont like about them but going over and point out the things about them that dont appeal to be is just something i wouldnt dream of doing but for sme reason they feel its ok

Depends so much on the tattoo and the personality - for me it is an expression of oneself, a bit like the way you wear your hair etc only more permanent. I have seen some great subtle tattoos on men and women of all ages and then I have seen some I did not like.

Its not that i would shag anything, its that i am not the biggest fan of tattoos, i have none myself, but admitedly some do look sexy and cool, and like i said before if i found someone attractive looks and personality, and we got naked and she had loads of tattoos it would not stop me from having fun. Tattoos are not really for me but for some they are a big part of them, each to there own everyone should lead there life to the full tattoos or not

I love tatts, whether it's a little sexy something, or a whole bodywork worthy of my bedroom gallery... they're just wonderful.

And because we're both inked (visibly so) it means that we DONT have a problem with people who have no tattoos...
