My kids think we only get the add free channels lol I even change channel when they are watching the disney channel and it goes to the ads

Mind you my youngest decided to ask for her stuff already and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised cos it was only a hundred quids worth of stuff . . . . so far

hey for me its a double whammy. i happened to have given birth to my daughter on christmas day. bad timing i know. we always celebrated her birthday after xmas dinner. still an expensive time tho, but worth it. however one year i forgot to get her a birthday cake and had to stick a candle in a chocolate log and then sing happy birthday to her.

Well this year my eldest is getting a pc not a laptop just a plain old (old being the right word for it lol) bog standard pc.

So I can get her off mine cos she wants to play games all day long!! Mind you it will NOT be conected to the net - just so I can ruin her life or so she tells me

And the youngest is getting a nintendo DS so the eldest will get hers back lol and if she is really lucky a new freeview box and dvd player cos hers naffed up a few months back!!

But I wont tell you what the biggest kid of them all is getting cos he has access to this site and it will spoil his surprise (wont it hubby, see I told you I wasnt telling what I have planned for you!!)

Being one of five sisters, we never had much for christmas, but when I think of the (real) stocking with a few sweets and a satsuma in we all had, it just reminds me of a time when crimbo wasn't all commercialised. We didn't have much but it all seemed like a happier time .... cue violins

I kinda like the adverts ... they give me ideas of what my kids want ... especially for the smaller, stocking filler type toys ... I still make them up a stocking with the satsuma, apple and nuts in the bottom ... plus some chocy coins ... though the youngest finds it funny that Father Christmas brings her an apple all the way from the North Pole, when we have em in the fruit bowl
