I like Mark Mansons take on this:

'Finding something important and meaningful in your life is the most productive use of your time and energy.

This is true because every life has problems associated with it and finding meaning in your life will help you sustain the effort needed to overcome the particular problems you face.

Thus, we can say that the key to living a good life is not giving a fuck about more things, but rather, giving a fuck only about the things that align with your personal values.'

I’m doing some stuff on this right now...and my current answer is that healthy questioning feels good...light, exciting - your own truth; and when things feel bad and heavy, and make you feel worse, that’s probably the inner critic/socialised voice speaking.

Don't say yes to something/doing something unless you want to. Say no and don't feel bad about saying no if you don't want to. Don't let anyone treat you badly and perform random acts of kindness towards people without any other motivation other than simply being nice.

Hmm. Maybe. I think growth can be intensely uncomfortable.

For me it's more about whether you're looking for the best evidence, whether you're prepared to change your mind, whether you hold all positions to the same standards.
