Style over substance. Company is in huge debt so doubt it will be supported for ever. If you must spend that sort of money a watt bike and zwift would be a better set up. If you own a bike a smart turbo trainer and zwift would do as good a job

I would recommend this above. Peloton is really good but only if you have the money to waist and won’t regret spending it if the service goes down

I’ve just had a look at the company details out of curiosity, I’ve noticed it’s share price has increased a lot since the beginning of March, up 72%

But the last three years have had a net income of -$300 million

One of my colleague got it and she rave about it. She got extremely fit over the last few months.

I have been using their app. It's really good. Got much more than just cycling. Try it.

Any sort of static trainer has rocketed in value since covid, same with treadmills, but the company are making huge losses, they had an awful advert earlier in the year which whiped millions of their share value, they've had issues with music licensing which have led to law suits.

You have to subscribe monthly forever otherwise all you have is a bang average but very expensive static trainer

It's not a bike as it doesn't move

A triumph of marketing hype over substance

Must admit did like the advert with the women who ends with "you've smashed it" nothing to do with the sequence of her gorgeous bum;

"Just buy a bike "

Absolutely this. Because when you get tired you still have to keep going to get home. Fresh air ... Sunshine for the vit D .. cheaper too .

I have one. As with anything it’s great to start off with.

Now I hang clothes on it.

It’s not so much the concept I don’t like it’s that I much prefer a spin class as part of a group.

This thread reminds me I should really give it a go again.

They have been out for along time on other platforms like tacx i just sold mine....never got used but i was a good cyclist used to race and rode around 850 miles a week for 15 years so i have no need for one handy if you want winter training and if you dont like riding on roads but you get more from riding a bike even if you do 20 mile a day you will burn off so many calories in a week that you will see the weight drop off you and the muscles toning up all over the body....but when you cycle you need food energy too

If you’re spending that sort of money, get a Watt atom bike and use Zwift.

It’s extremely easy to use. Personally think it’s great. Like anything, you need commitment, but it’s very motivating.

Of course financial value is personal, it’s £2k for the bike and £40pm.

Very easy to use, very addictive.

I've got a road bike as well so I get some fresh air, etc. However, when its cold and wet outside you can jump on it and still get a good workout.

It's expensive, but the classes are very good and the instructors know their stuff

Yes. Really good. Very addictive which makes it affordable. Much more value than a gym member

Peloton bikes are overrated and over priced but well marketed so have found some success.

However A good smart trainer can be had for £550 upwards new (less second hand) and a Zwift membership at £12.99 is less than the £70 or so a month Peloton charge.

So I’d recommend getting that bike you’re not using (or pick up a cheap second hand road bike) and a trainer from Elite, Tacx or Wahoo instead.

Then spend the money you’ve saved on hotels and meets from Fab!

They look good in terms of providing challenges for yourself but I can't be doing with the pseudo-motivation bullshit of the online trainers. Just sounds so damn patronising
