Uh UH you've not embraced the english day out at the beach tradition here, we have our sarnies, and we can fetch a cup of tea from the tea room come refrectory on the promenade, but if you need to keep the sun from your head, it is strictly knotted hankies that are the dress sense of all the best British beaches. Whatever next! you roll up here with these continental ideas of fizzy wine, and huge umbrella's? No No No! we can't be having any of that!!!

I am a neandarthal with metrosexual tendancies, I do not want to be beside me on the beach.

I draw the line at windbreaks

"I draw the line at windbreaks"

You carry on drawing your lines in the sand Pablo, just stand up wind if you don't mind old chap and when you're done, Petalantae Fusspot, Aphrodite and I, would all like a 99 with a whopper of a Cadburys flake in it

Ummm? who goes to Whitstable for the beach? ** slaps forehead and rolls eyes** Pablo my learnedd cub, Mersea Island is where the crem de la crem of Oysters come from, OK granted the beach isn't much to go on unlike Margate, but if you like Oysters, definitely Mersea Island. Now if its muscles you crave? Beaumaris is the only place for muscles!
