Get yourself a g-tech air ram. They create little bails and it feels like you live on a tiny farm. Keeps me entertained.

Yesterday I was speaking to a guy online who does vacuum cleaner repairs. He fixes them in the front garden if he can or if not he does a social distanced collection on the doorstep, wipes it down and takes it home. He wears masks when working too. I found him on Facebook. Fortunately he managed to talk me through fixing it myself so didn't need him to come and get it .

In all seriousness though, the little Nanna hoovers are great. You don't need to spend a fortune on a hoover - it's all marketing bollocks

If it’s still working or tryin at least. I’d give it a good clean it inside and shake it well. Something might have stuck & given the noise.

If you cannot bother , buy a new one curry’s seems to be delivering stuff same/next day x Good luck

What kind of vacuum cleaner do you have?

I have 2 cordless vacuum cleaners - one Bosch and one VAX - and by strange coincidence both developed recharging problems within the last couple of months. Both out of warranty.

Bosch sent me a replacement charger without hesitation

VAX advised a replacement charger is chargeable but I'm using my charm and persuasion and the Bosch customer service to try and get it for free. If I don't the VAX will be binned and not replaced

I'd contact Black and Decker and test their customer service and if it's crap tell them you won't be buying any more Black and Decker products however if they give good customer service tell them you'll continue to buy and recommend them and their products.

Seldom worth the time and cost to repair small appliances, unless you can do it yourself.

Get a new one online.

Repairing is always better than replacing.

I'd clean out all the filters, wash them out in the bath....they'll be disgusting if they're not cleaned often & can cause a racket, that's the first stop, a worn belt can do the same. Belts are generally under a tenner too.

There should be someone nearby who can fix it, usually the same folks that repair washing machines. Costs of some vacuums is ridiculous, cheaper to repair & keeps someone in a job & waste out the system
