I used some tights as an emergency sling . Popped the hurt arm in one leg. Tied round the back. Worked a treat

Haven’t done this personally but in the late 90s/early 2000s, car modders used to stretch heavy denier tights over the rear light clusters of their cars as a cheap tint.

You can grow things in them. They take the weight and expand with the fruit and veg.
