I'm going to be hung for this but I think we need to be stricter. .

We have the worse death rate in Europe and are stil not over it .

As much as i want it to be over i dont think it should be easing restrictions...

It’ll probably increase the infection rate as there are way too many stupid people within our society. That said the virus isn’t going anywhere soon so we will have to return to some sort of normality soon or the country will go to absolute shit.

Well he's fucked up every step of the way so far so not unteasonable to suspect he'll fuck this stage up too. Why England is going in a djfeetent direction than the rest of the UK is baffling.

It's going to be a slow process. Personally, I'm going to work and am quite happy with steps to come out of this.

Is that what your extensive network of experts and think tanks have advised you to say whilst considering the intricacies of running a country? I can see how the right decisions to please everyone must be so easy for you

In part because if Boris said left, Nicola Sturgeon would insist on saying right a day earlier.

The South Koreans are worried about a possible second rise in cases.

The Germans have recorded a slight rise in cases since they eased their lockdown a bit.

In Scotland, we're being more cautious.

Boris seems to be prepared to have the English as guinea pigs.

Careful who you vote for, eh?

Damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t

Whatever he, or anyone else who may have been PM, had said last night would not have pleased everyone.

Personally I will still be locked away and am fortunate enough to be working from home, cannot afford to have covid here in the house.

Exactly, plenty of armchair politicians on here that would have made exactly the right decisions at exactly the right times, just strange why they're in their armchair rather than in Westminster

No matter what the pm says you still get people who cannot fathom out 200cm for distancing but as per usual the few spoil it for the rest but I'm sure that the people who run the country know more than we do hence why they run the country and we dont.

He had to make a decision but he couldn't be more vague if he tried. No clear direction or message

Just in case some may have missed it...

All through this crisis millions of people have been working every day. To those with the perfect crystal ball it's easy to snipe criticise snarl and second guess the decisions of those who have to make them from the comfort of being behind a keyboard...

Perhaps less easy to chart a sensible course back to some form of normality?

Yes. It was all very reminiscent of the Hitchhiker's Guide ...

"We demand rigidly defined areas of doubt and uncertainty!"
