Any fans here? I love Big Trouble In Little China and The Thing is great, and I liked The Fog. Today I'm filling in gaps watching Prince Of Darkness, Assault On Precinct 13 and They Live.

He's defined a genre in Halloween. His others are good, especially Christine which I love and is particularly

underrated.

"Oh yeah don't forget ghosts of Mars."

I read the other day that Ghosts Of Mars was supposed to be Escape From Mars with Snake as the lead character, but Escape From LA bombed so badly they decided not to disconnect it from the franchise.

I'm just watching They Live for the first time and the 'I have come here to chew bubble gum...' line has just been spoken. I forgot it came from this film.

Big Trouble In Little China is my favourite though - I went to see it at the cinema last year and I've shown it to loads of people who haven't seen it. Favourite moment - 'How'd you get up there?' 'Wasn't easy!'

Have loved his movies since I was a kid. Such a great filmmaker! Watching Christine as a child got me into reading Stephen King

I'd forgotten he did Halloween as well. Slightly ashamed to say that I've never seen it...I need to re-watch Escape From New York as well.

I love "they live" such an iconic film with great metaphors and one liners.

Big Trouble and They Live are masterful works and absolute essentials which should be shown in cinemas again as a double feature—I mean....well, at least we can watch them at home.

Never watched his stuff but I do know that the theme for Assault on precinct 13 was sampled to create the massive rave smash Hardcore Uproar by Together in the early 90s so in a small way influenced my music & life growing up.
